St Petersburg Russia - part 3

We crossed the square in front of Peter and Paul Cathedral to St Petersburg Mint that dates back to the 1720s. It is still used to produce commemorative coins and state awards. Not far from there was the Capital Funds Building, also part of the St Petersburg Mint, that once stored the money used to back the Imperial Court's bills of credit.
